Digital Lenses
Digital lenses are digitally enhanced using innovative technology to give you a significant increase in clarity over other lens types. This means you get better peripheral vision, better contrast sensitivity, and generally see sharper and less distorted images. Digital lenses are able to do this because instead of being surfaced just on one side like traditional lenses that offer the best vision in the centre of the lens, digital lenses are surfaced based on your optical requirements on both sides, paying close attention to your unique vision needs and preferences.
Specifically, when digital lenses are designed and produced, your prescription considers your optometrist's prescription regardless of how many prescription zones are required (multifocal), frame fitting position, vertex distance, pantoscopic tilt and eye movement patterns, and more. This information is combined to create an extremely accurate set of lenses that eliminate many of the aberrations that were previously unavoidable with conventional lens surfacing.
Why Choose Digital Lenses?
- Improved contrast perception means you get sharper vision
- Improved colour and depth perception for more intense, brighter colours
- Improved low/night vision, reducing vision elements like glare and halo effects
- Ideal for those with complicated prescription and progressive lenses, as they’re able to optimise the design of these lenses with digital technology
- Digital lenses are available in thin and light materials, making them ideal for long wear, even with the strongest prescriptions
- Like our other range of lenses, digital lenses are available in tints, with treatments like anti-reflective coating and in adaptive lenses that adjust from clear indoors to dark outdoors, to provide the most natural vision for your lifestyle
