Health fund rebates expire soon, so see your optometrist fast!

Just in case you are not aware, we thought we should remind you that health fund rebates expire December 31! This means that your optical cover will start again from the 1st January 2012 from the maximum claim amount you are entitled to. Unfortunately health fund rebates aren’t accumulative from year to year. What does this mean? HURRY IN AND SEE AN OPTOMETRIST!! To see the optometrist, just bring in your medicare card and it can be bulk-billed. This means that medicare will in fact cover the cost of your eye examination with the optometrist. The optometrist will conduct a thorough eye examination checking for all common and less common eye-related problems. Should you need glasses, they could cost you nothing! All health funds are welcome!!!*  * rebate depends on your private health insurance plan. Check with your health insurer for eligibility.
